@zipbags did your daughter receive an acceptance packet first or an update on the portal first? And if her portal is updated, where exactly on the portal does it say that he has been accepted?
I believe she got the acceptance packet first. But, I will ask her.

Have yet to hear from UD. Applied October 6th, got an email saying my application was complete October 27th. Non-honors application. Fingers crossed!!
D was accepted today! Yellow envelope in mail. Website not updated yet. Good luck everyone!
@cakeisgreat - congratulations to your daughter! Any possible comment about her stats and more importantly, when did she apply?
Hi @bigtenhopeful34 …I posted that in the other thread but she has 4.0 GPA, APs and college creds, 1880 SAT, and applied in September with a complete and ready for review around Oct 27. Major is Food Science. Waiting to hear about honors and merit if any :).

Unless things have changed this year if an applicant has applied to the Honors Program as part of their UD application when they receive their initial acceptance notification it would be noted there about acceptance into the Honors Program. If it is not noted there it would be a regular (non-Honors) type of admission. In the past there has never been a separate notification process related to acceptance or denial into the Honors Program (unless UD has notified you otherwise).
Her letter actually says a decision will be made about honors acceptance in March. Not near the letter at the moment but I will check later and post if I misread it. Probably did lol, but she doesn’t mind if not in honors. Just tried for it.
OK thanks for the update… Good luck. Sounds like they may be doing things differently than in the past with the new Admission’s Director.
FYI, my son applied mid October and was accepted to the Lerner Business School in early November. SAT 1850, GPA 3.7. He got packet in mail first, then portal updated several days later.
Can someone please tell me when I should hear back from admissions. They received everything on Nov 10th. I am super anxious.
Hi, All! I had a moment to look at D’s acceptance letter. Here is what it says: “We will review your qualifications for admission to the Honors Program and you will be notified by late March.”
Maybe D is a “borderline” candidate. Anyway, I’ll keep you guys posted if we hear anything soon!

cakeisgreat my daughter got the same letter along with her acceptance. She also got a 8K a year scholarship.
I have a 4.1 cumlative Gpa (weighted). Unweighted Gpa is a 3.89. My sat Is low with a 1600. Critical reading 540. Math 510. Writing is 550. 2 sport athlete every year, job experience and good amounts of service. What are my chances of getting in?
Portal also says that Delaware recieved all my materials on 9/18/15 so I am wondering when I will hear back. (It’s been 12 weeks exactly today)
@goterps25 What major are you applying for? My daughter had a 4.0 and 1660 SAT and got in a month ago. She is a speech major. I read that someone who had higher stats got deferred…but, they were applying to the business school.
