When Do Incoming Freshmen . . .

PlattsburghLoser- Have you started at Columbia yet? I’m thinking of applying there for law.

And I visited the NYU boards back when I was thinking about applying there (didn’t because of cost + heard of bad FA + lack of community) but never saw anything about Fordham? And I stay away from the ivy boards because the “chance me’s” and uppity tone of some CCer’s can get to be a bit much.

And WantsBrown- Good luck! I really like Brown, actually.

jptmom- Fine by me :]

I’ve heard Fordham has a really good law school.

I just finished taking a few summer classes there since I’m behind a bit from transferring.

Plattsburgh - I’m not sure why you continue to spend so much time on the Fordham CC site if you are now a student at Columbia. Fordham may not have been a great place for you, but it obviously helped to get you to a place you want to be (Columbia). Many other students have great experiences at Fordham. You may think its fun to bash a school that you didn’t love but it’s time to leave Fordham behind and move on. Of course you can continue to post as you wish, but personally I’d rather spend my time looking forward than backward.

I can and will post where and what I want. If you don’t like it, don’t read it.
Do try to spend less time focusing on me, while I am flattered.

Well that’s really childish.
(Edited, posted at the same time as Plattsburgh. I meant dlcor)
You can’t just tell someone to not post because you don’t like what they’re saying. I also don’t go to Fordham, am I banned as well?
And if you’re any representation of the type of people who go to Fordham, then yeah, I can kind of understand why Plattsburgh left.

Thank you for your permission.

I am glad platsburgh is at columbia, or wherever she is. If the best use of her time is to come to the fordham thread and bash the school every chance she gets, fordham is better off.

My D is at Fordham and is happy as can be. If platsburgh and wantsbrown want to have a bash fordham party, we can’t stop them, but lets just ignore them and if they post falsehoods, we can correc tthose.

To me, it just comes across as sad that some posters feel to need to put others down for liking a particular school and who come overto a thread just to be negative. Columbia or whever can have that.

I know lets go to the brown and columbia threads!! Columbia is in harlem after all. ANd brown, ew that city is yucky. Or how columbia tried to take over parks and such in their neighborhood. ANd that Borwn is just an ivy wantabee.

That is how some posters conme across, bitter , sad , and immature. Ah well.

Excuse you? What have I said negative about Fordham, excluding the comment directed at dlcor?

In fact, I just reread my posts in here. I said eight girls together, at any college, is not a good thing and asked Plattsburgh what school they’re at now and if they like it there because I have a sibling who wants to attend. Really? Is that now construed as bashing?

tl ;dr.

platsburgh. how many semesters have you been at columbia? what classes have you taken? I noticed you transferred from a suny to fordham lc, and that back in march, you were sending out transfer applications. So, did you take classes at columbia over the summer?

And what made you choose columbia over barnard, nyu, etc.

And if you transferred, when did the acceptance come, becuase that is amazing. I always thought transfer students heard later and it would be suprising you were able to take classes in the summer. good to know.

Quilter: Really? So you’re just going to refuse to point out where I’m “bashing” Fordham? Where have I bashed Fordham? as you’ve claimed I have? Please show me.

BTW, you don’t need to attend the college to take summer classes. My brother took summer classes at a local college that he didn’t attend. In fact,

That is why I asked platsburgh what classes she has taken! It was a very legitimate question. My D is at fordham and lives there in the summers to work, and maybe she would like to take a course at columbia!! valid question.

And as for bashing, you were, but I am past that now. And platsburgh has gone to three colleges, well, I was looking through her posts to see what classes she has taken at coumbia and why the experience has been so much better. Just curious I guess. Valid question, if she got into columbia and nyu in may of this year, how much experience does she have with columbia during the summer courses she must have taken.

Where? Quote where I was bashing as I don’t feel I was. I’d like to know whether it’s a misunderstanding or if I’m being clumped together with Plattsburgh for agreeing.

This is really getting juvenile. If you don’t like what I have to say, use to block feature on CC. Considering my last post about Fordham was saying it had a “really good law school” and before that encouraged someone to apply, I don’t see how I’m “bashing.” It’s called having an opinion. Not all of them are going to be as Merry Happy Sunshine as some would like, likewise, not all of them are pointing evil daggers either.
If you don’t like it, don’t read it. Problem solved.

Also, ilovetoquilt = southernbbq = all her other former aliases.

It is the latter, of course.

I really am curious about columbia and what classes you have taken there!! You gave it four thumbs up, couldn’t wait to leave fordham, your second school and sent in deposits to both nyu and columbia in may of this year. You say that columiba is so much better, what in your experience has made it so.

AH well, moving on, my D moves in next week to RH, my second D. We are getting mailers left and right. I know her experience will be wonderful. She didn’t apply to columiba, though she liked it very much. She wanted more of a traditional campus, lay under a tree expereince, same for NYU. But both those schools are assume!!

And I’m really curious to know where I’ve bashed. Makes two of us don’t it?

I am haopy you love columbia so much and I wish wantsbrown good luck in the process. I was wondering if you decided on the doulbe major, or whatever in engineering. i know columbia has an amazing program there. And my older D is interested in taking courses at columbia for grad, or next summer. I would really like to hear about your experiences. I know you needed to stay in NYC because of a lease, and applied everywhere. And where having problems with courses etc as a transfer engineering student, so I hope you were able to work that out and get caught up this past summer. Seriouslly, I wish you well, and sorry that fordham was so hard for you. But sounds like you found a real home at Columbia, even if its just been 2 months or so.

Wantsbwon, you were not bashing fordham so much as feeding Platsburgh hatred for the school. My apologies. I got the threads confused and for that I am sorry.

I really am curious about platsburghs experiences at columbia this past summer.

Seriously, are you really stalking me? You’re creepier than I initially thought you were.
And please quit your fake “I’m just interested” approach. It’s completely transparent, SouthernBBQ.
