When do National Merit cutoffs come out?

<p>So my high school, it just gets the list of the actual semifinalists? Or is the cutoff score also released?</p>

<p>Your high school will get the info packets to give to the semifinalists. The school will also get the cutoff information, which is not publicly released. Your counselor/principal may choose to share that information with you, though.</p>

<p>My high school principal called me a couple of hours ago and told me that I was chosen to be a semifinalist, so I imagine that the cutoffs will be out very soon, if they're not out already.</p>

<p>They've probably already been mailed out. Now it's just up to when your school decides to tell you.</p>

<p>(Last year they were mailed Aug. 21).</p>

<p>Thanks! I think the letter saying that we made the first cutoff (201) went to my school's principal. It isn't until he sends it to the counselor that I'll get it.</p>

<p>about a week before the CRS info was due last may, i called the national merit corporation, thinking that my score of 219 had to be high enough to at least move on to the commended/semi part...the secretary i talked told me they mailed it out to my principal '4 weeks ago'...it was on the very bottom of a massive pile of paperwork on his desk...always lookin out for the kids</p>

<p>I'm from Missouri and my score was 221. I think last year's cutoff for Missouri was somewhere around 215.</p>
