Do they even deliver email on Sundays?

The 27th is a Saturday.

And I guess yeah its possible. I don’t know why… they have to be done reviewing by now. And even if they had a few more to go, why don’t they just release decisions on Friday at 5pm EST?

I didn’t apply but my friend called and the answer she got was “before April 1st.”
So I think you guys are on the right track.

Good luck everyone!!! Hope you get in!

Is NU anyone’s top choice here?

Admission offices in general often claim the results are displayed on a later date in order to tone down the web traffic the day they’re actually released.

So…keep checking?

Keep checking what?

We’re waiting for an email. It either comes or doesn’t.

Previous admission dates:
Thursday March 26 2009
Tuesday March 25th 2008 (8PM)

I couldn’t find any earlier ones.

AHHH. can’t wait to find out…

Don’t believe any date the admissions office says. If bs were selling for a nickel a pound, they would be millionaires.

can you post that thread here plz?

It was the 31st in 2007, around noon.
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/northwestern-university/274913-official-nu-11-decisions-2.html?highlight=2011

they could release it on a weekend; both caltech and mit did

Sometimes I think NU is my top choice, but I haven’t visited, so who knows?

I think NU is my top choice for my chances to get in. It is a little easier than Brown and Penn to get in- not that it is easy at all.

guys, the truth is they could post it any time from now until april. If we don’t hear something by 7 or 8 CST I think it’s safe to say that decisions won’t be coming today. My bet’s on Friday, but then again, it could be anything.

NU has been my top choice by miles since freshman year, so I can relate with you guys, but I feel that if we obsess over it, it will only compound our worries. I mean, I’ve been wearing purple non-stop, getting excited at the word “Chicago”, etc. But the truth is, calling adcoms will only **** them off more.

I’m not telling everyone else to just calm down, because that’s impossible for everyone, including me. But bombarding the admissions office seems somewhat counterproductive, and since many schools don’t have a set date for notifications, we can’t really assume when it will arrive - except for places like MIT (Pi Day), and the Ivies (4/1).

yeah guys, if you’re thinking about calling, don’t. they’re just going to get more annoyed and possibly postpone decisions (probably not, but you never know.)

Just an observation: None of the last three years were sent out on a weekend.

'07 was a Monday, '08 on a Tuesday, and '09 on a Thursday.

'07 is the only year they mailed decisions during a week that wasn’t a full week in March, so I think it’s fair to hope for today or tomorrow, but it’s also realistic to not expect them until mid-April.

BREATHE. :)

someone correct me if I’m wrong, but will they release decision at 6 p.m. CST?

Where did you get that information?

Ditto! 10char

^ well, if they don’t release it during the day like they did in '07, it’s almost always around 6-7CST.
