When do scholarships come in the mail?

I’ve been hearing people getting scholarships like the National Buckeye and the Maximus in the mail. Today I receieved the letter that said “Congratulations! On behalf of President Michael Drake…” but I didn’t get anything mentioning scholarships… Does this mean that I didn’t get any scholarships, or are they to come after this letter?

That is just confirming that you have been admitted. There are more letters to follow. Just not sure when, as we are waiting on them to arrive also :)

@college67‌ Oh my gosh. Thank you! I got scared. I really want to go to OSU.

We are waiting nervously as well. I called the admissions department earlier this week. The other scholarships are going out on a rolling admission.

@college67‌ If I may ask (not trying to be a stalker) but what state are you in and what were your admissions stats?

I just got the national buckeye and maximus scholarships in the mail on sunday. 32 ACT, school doesn’t rank, and I’m in north carolina. I was in the first round of acceptances

@ncsandy‌ did you get it separately from the letter that said “Congratulations! On behalf of President Michael Drake…”

Still waiting to see if my OOS son gets the national buckeye scholarships. He was accepted in the early rounds, November 21st. He’s top 3% of his class out of 404 students, ACT 29, 4.0 UW, 4.1250 W & muliptle AP test scores of no lower than a 4.

@kshinforthewin yep. acceptance letter dated 11/26 scholarship letter dated 12/11

@ncsandy I think what @kshinforthewin is saying is did you get another letter that said congratulations? My daugher receive her acceptance letter and then another letter that said congratulations for being admitted.

@jhayes when your son receives the scholarship, do let me know please!

@kshinforthewin D got the admission letter on 11/26, congratulations letter on 12/11 (with no scholarship info) and then a separate letter dated 12/20 with Buckeye/Provost award. From what I can see this is the next round after the Buckeye/Maximus. There should be more rounds with Buckeye/Trustee and then Buckeye alone, I would think. Last year awards went though mid Jan and beyond as well.

Today, my son received his scholarship letter today. The letter is dated for 12/20 and the postdate envelope 12/22. He earned the Provost Scholarship and the National Buckeye Scholar awards. He’ll be able to take advantage of the National Buckeye Scholar but not the Provost award. The last piece of his funding came today so all is good. He can’t wait to get on campus and start Summer 2015 classes.

@jhayes why is he not able to use the Provost award? Can you use both the awards together?

@college67 using the Provost would exceed my son’s cost of attendance at tOSU. Yes, you can stack both scholarships as long as it doesn’t exceed the COA.

My son received his acceptance to OSU at the end of November and and then a welcoming letter shortly after. The Buckeye and Provost scholarship award letters came yesterday in the mail dated 12/20/14. I had called OSU a couple weeks ago and was told those letters would be going out right through January.

Thank you to all who responded. It seems that most of your children/you guys got accepted in the early rounds in late November and got your scholarships on December 20th. I got my acceptance letter on December 13th, so hopefully my scholarships will come in the upcoming weeks!

Alright, I think I qualify for the National Buckeye Scholarship and Maximus I believe but I have heard nothing aside from a letter that was like the president drake one. Should I be worried?

My S received his acceptance dated November 26 but still no scholarship letter. We were hopeful that he would qualify for the national buckeye and maybe provost. His ACT was 31 and Unweighted GPA 3.7. Our school does not rank. since it appears most who received acceptances the same time have received their scholarships, should we assume that he may not qualify for any?

@research when did he get his acceptance? They might be coming out in different times as to when you were accepted.
