I was accepted EA with a $5000 scholarship but I didn’t find out until about a month after I got my decision. They sent me a separate email saying I had an update. So if you get one that doesn’t come with your decision, I guess that’s how you will be notified.

^Ditto, my money came later.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know the most $ they give out?

@HighHead: Thanks for the info! I e-mailed the Admissions Office this morning; I can only hope that’s what happens to me.

I hope I get merit aid as well - the fin aid that they gave me is too little for my family…

@glassesarechic

prior to silverturtle’s 15k, i had only heard if 5 and 10k “university scholarships.”

there are other scholarships in different amounts available to smaller segments of the application pool, if a parent is a chicago police or fireman, for example, or to whatever a certain alumni has donated their money. I think the highest they go is full tuition.

Wow thats a badly formed paragraph – but does it make sense?

According to the Admission’s Office, all merit aid has been awarded. So merit aid is not done on a rolling basis from here on out, they are done. Congratulations to all of you that received awards.

Hmmm, interesting. I spoke to someone at FinAid today & they advised that for those applicants accepted EA, they should be able to log on tomorrow & see both FA & Merit updates.

I think its 15000 max

Yep, I was just confused because I’d also only heard of the $5k and $10k awards before silverturtle. I guess he’s just that epic :).
