I can send an email to WSU but I figure they have enough going on without stupid questions :). There seemed to be some question about when notifications go out. The two students that were answering questions both auditioned late in the cycle but indicated that they thought that earlier auditioners heard within a few weeks of their audition. Anybody who can clarify the timeline? Just curious.

My s applied to the acting bfa in November. I think it was around the 9th. We had a phone call confirming his acceptance the week of thanksgiving but just got an official letter in the regular mail this week.

Was your S’s acceptance letter an academic acceptance or was it for the acting program? Curious, because D auditioned in early Dec. (BFA/MT) and just received an acceptance letter in the mail this week also (academic/admissions), but hasn’t yet heard from the MT program…we were wondering how long it usually takes to hear back after the audition.

Atlast - the phone call during thanksgiving week and the letter last week were in regards to the bfa program. The academic acceptance came in December. Maybe the bfa letter is on its way!

Atlast- I saw in another post that your d was interested in Webster. I know this isn’t the Webster forum, but I was wondering if you ended up auditioning on campus and what you thought. S has his audition in Atlanta in march and we don’t have an opportunity to visit before. Would be interested in comparisons to wright state. Thanks!

Yes, she will be auditioning for Webster at Chicago Unifieds, not on campus. We plan on visiting the school in March though, during her spring break, well after her audition, so if she is NOT accepted, of course we will not be doing this! As for Wright State, we’re waiting to hear back from their theatre dept. There’s been some mixup, I believe. Somehow the school’s Dept. of Art & Art History sent an email to D, so we’re back and forth with them to find out if D’s paperwork went to the wrong department somehow. She only applied for MT! :S

Oh how frustrating! Hope you get it all worked out soon. Victoria Oleen in the drama dept has been a wonderful resource for us! Good luck with unifieds!

I may be calling her next week…if we don’t hear something before then. She is the person D’s materials were sent to. We hope.

Atlast - Congrats! I saw that you posted an acceptance for Wright State BFA in MT!~

Thank you! Yes, the paperwork must have finally gotten into the right hands! :)

Just wondering if anyone has been accepted. My daughter is wait listed.

My son was accepted for Acting. We went to the open house this past saturday to take a look at the housing and the rest of the campus and there was one accepted girl there who I think was accepted to MT and one girl who I think was accepted to Acting. My son is a big fan of the program and has worked with two alum who LOVED their time there! Best of luck to your daughter!

Hi there!

I’ve been accepted into Wright States MT program and will most likely be attending there. I’m interested in making some connections with other students planning on attending, you know - make a few friends before I go. I like friends. Feel free to contact me if you or your child will be a freshman this Fall and I’ll give you my Facebook information.

Thanks!

Which schools did you your children choose?

Does anyone know when the last round of acceptances from Wright will start?

D said she “heard” March 12. She’s a freshman and helped with some of the auditions. That is not a definite, but at least might give you an idea.

Thank you that helps… our friend’s D auditioned early and heard within a week. My daughter loved the program when she auditioned so it is at the top of her list. We sent several of our friends up there as well, I know the talent that was going through is going to make it hard to get in, but we will keep up hope!!

FYI - acceptances come in a small envelope so don’t panic! Good luck!

Just FYI…our D received a call from Prof Joe Deer last night…so offers may come via phone instead of snail mail. Good luck everyone!
