Last year, I believe we had about 140 applicants where 80 were admitted (According to my counselor). After watching so many people get in last year, it’s easy to understand the jump. This is information that I received from someone who is an alumna of my school that now works in the admissions officer.

Was the person who told you packets would go out on the 22nd a student who answers the phone or an administrator? We do want to have confirmed information about the release of the packets, but I am wondering if your source is in an official capacity.

Also, the back doors might not work… I sorta leaked a link earlier for scholarship people and they closed it down after 12 of us signed up for our Explore dates :p… They might not make the links live until a couple days later this time.

I’m afraid to keep checking the backdoor link because it says activity is monitored lol. My USConnect still says “We have received your application, and it appears we require no additional information at this time…” etc etc

Didn’t someone on the USC CC forum say they know like an admissions officer who said letters are being mailed on the 22nd? I’m pretty sure its the 22nd though, all signs point to tomorrow. Even if the back door link doesn’t work, i think the letters will still be on their way. Can’t wait guys, I live in SoCal, so if I don’t get an admissions packet on wed. then I probably got rejected. But theres still HOPE!!! :)

my status hasn’t changed since the received my full application-still says they will be reviewing applications through march and that they expect to meet the april 1st deadline…the lack of an update/change isn’t very promising, but then again I don’t really expect to get in.

So sydney wait, can you copy your full status on here? Mine only says:

“We have received your application, and it appears we require no additional information at this time. We will be reviewing applications through the month of March, and we expect to be able to meet our commitment to notify freshmen by April 1st. We often like to see the mid-year grades of freshman applicants. If you have not already done so, please submit your final, fall term marks when they become available. You may submit them at USConnect by clicking “mid-year grade reports”, or by visiting www.usc.edu/midyeargrades. Sometimes, in the course of our review of applications, we find that we need additional information. In such cases we will mail a written request. If you receive a request for more information, please respond promptly.”

Nothing about being personally reviewed… omg

Also, it’s possible that the bumping of the “explanation of all the back door links” thread up to the top of the top of the list (wish that hadn’t happened, but I understand the impulse) may draw attention and cause USC to disable the link until well after packets are received.

So don’t read anything into it NOT working tomorrow either.

Alright you guys, glad I’m not the only one with that status. I hope it isn’t a bad sign! I am literally freaking out, I hope I’m not the only one who has been losing sleep over these results lol

DW I have that status too. I think everybody does. But I am going to be pretty unpopular in school tomorrow if the results are not mailed out on the 22nd! I just told everybody that they will be. Are we quite certain that it’s the 22nd?

My daughter was accepted in January - and her status still says: We have received your application, and it appears we require no additional information at this time. We will be reviewing applications through the month of March, and we expect to be able to meet our commitment to notify freshmen by April 1st.

So - I wouldn’t use that as a guide - the status doesn’t mean anything. Hope this helps.

“Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by June 1. If for some reason you don’t receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning June 11th.”

Disregard the June. Change it to April. I’m a transfer student even though I am a screenwriting transfer (we hear when freshman hear if we got in) so mine automatically says June, yours would say April if you had the same status
