dulcecab13, they requested a huge list of financial aid forms from my family last friday. (not exactly a long time frame to get them completed)

does anybody have an idea when usconnect will be back up again???

I think USC connect might be closed until all decisions are mailed out…seeing as how its only a portal to check APPLICATION status and not admission status and well its too late for people to check for any application stuff when decisions have been sent out already

I wish it would come back online soon, I need to check the status of my financial aid documents (which I sent but they lost, apparently…)

@cali
I actually had everything on hand and thank god USC accepted fax because I barely sent out my IDOC that same day like March 15th

are the forms you guys are talking about the tax return schedule B or something like that?

For the record, I’m pretty sure that the Financial Aid and Undergraduate Admissions are separate offices at USC. So I’d take something regarding aid worth a grain of salt as far as admissions are concerned.

For me, it was the second page of my mother’s tax returns, which I had included with other documents that they have processed, such as her divorce papers…

For me, my mother just passed away and they wanted a bunch of documentation of life insurance policies as well as some other information from before. BigKev- I have heard on other forums that being asked for additional documentation in the month before decisions is an indicator of admission. I hope this isn’t true, as I have only been asked for more info from USC! Would you say this myth holds any truth at other colleges as well as USC?

My advice? Try to relax and enjoy your senior year! You only have 7-8 weeks left of high school, don’t waste it stressing over college decisions. The next few days will fly by if you take your mind off of the subject, and before you know it you’ll get a nice package from LA.

The forms I’m talking about ALL my parents 2010 tax return including schedules, student non-filing form, and Corporation tax returns. I had sent everything else but the official forms.

All colleges will tell you this:
PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS, PLEASE NOTE: This notice is not an indicator of an admission decision. Financial aid information is gathered and reviewed for all financial aid applicants, regardless of admission status.

However, with Wesleyan (CT), I was asked for the same forms and a couple of days later I was accepted.

does anyone know if they’ve definitely sent out letters or not?

Thanks BigKev! It’s hard not to be anxious, especially as I’ve spent the last two days at home with the flu, leaving me a great deal of time to ponder and worry about where I’ll end up next year :)

I feel as if I might explode. I must try harder to concentrate on homework.

I’m an international applicant.
According to DHL a package was sent to me at 3:00 PM (LA Time) on Tuesday.
Apparently the weight of said package is only 1 lbs.
I know what to expect.

EpitomeOfIdiocy… just because it weighs one pound doesn’t mean its a rejection if that is what youre insinuating… paper really isn’t that heavy lol

The admission packets weigh about one pound.

Ah! I live in Los Angeles, hopefully there will be a large packet in my mailbox tomorrow from USC O.o

mc90604, I live in LA too, really hope we can get it tomorrow!
