When is everyone going to CalSO?

@ deanza You can’t take Hist 7B over the summer?

7B isn’t offered during summer at De Anza. I’m actually in it right now!!

I can’t take any summer courses this year because I’m going to go traveling in Europe. I thought Id take a break and enjoy the less than two months of vacation I got. Now, I kinda feel guilty though. Plus I’ll have to deal with all the hassle of sending transcripts and the IGETC, as well as Telebears phase II while I’m on a different continent!

I wish I’d have taken a equivalent to Berkeley’s 7B earlier, but De Anza splits it up into two classes and by the time I realized I’d like to major in Media Studies, it was too late for me to take both of these courses…

Lol, I feel like I’m always in some sort of dilemma. I hope that doesn’t continue in Berkeley ;).

CalSO 6/9 Who’s in?

I’m in for 6/9
So excited! I fly up tomorrow.

i SIR’d late and eeeeeeverything was filled up so i sent them an email asking if i could take someone’s spot that cancelled and they said no. anyways, i chcekd the site again and somehow found an opening for June 15th! Anyone from socal going up to campus for CalSo?

lol i like your username^

i been meaning to change that ahaha i don’t know how long i’ve waited and wanted to go to ucla but i chose cal over ucla when it came down to it. life is weird man, i didn’t even care that got into berkeley when i first heard back from ucla… go figure ¯_(ツ)_/¯

@redoplease, weren’t you in the same dilemma?

and how much did some of you guys in california find round trip flights for? i can’t find anything for less than $200 now but have found flights for like $150 and cheaper before. i think i might just take the amtrak now and catch up on some reading.

WOW I LOVE THAT SHRUGGING THING

and I was always set on Berkeley! The only thing was the whole Spring admission crap…I would have chosen Fall at UCLA over a Spring semester admission from Berkeley. I don’t think anyone here really gets why I would do that  but luckily, Berkeley loved me enough to let me in for Fall so crisis averted!
And my total cost to get to Berkeley is like a $20 in gas muahahahaha

For me, the flight is about $150 out of LAX, all the others were 200-250 :/

I got southwest tickets for 139 round trip from San Diego.

I planned on flying but ended up driving from orange county… $50 and 6 hours later… here :)

but it’s really cold :/

welcome to the bay area, haha. We’re still trying to figure out where our Spring went.

lol seriously^

Today was actuallyy pretty warm though.

lol so maybe i have some sort of awkward southern CA vibe… but a bunch of people called me out on not being from here!

haha, I know how you feel. I’m from So Cal born and raised but I’ve lived up here for 3 years and I still get called out now and then. Mainly it’s because I tailgate up the ass, haha.

i wanted to run into every single car/bike/pedestrian i saw.

Berkeley students literally go from smart======>brain dead when their shoes touch the pavement outside. Literally they refuse to look both ways while crossing, and IF YOU MAKE THEM WAIT while you try to get through an intersection you may as well have kicked a newborn puppy.

why I’m not looking forward to having my car there.

I’ll tell you one thing, kicking puppies feels good  Don’t forget those people who cross the street as slowwwwllllyyyy as possible, even when you have the green. Then they look at you all crazy like if you start getting antsy.

LOLOL how dare I forget those lovely people! Are you bringing your car?! Hopefully I won’t have to use my car more than 3 times a week…
