When should I hear back/chances?

<p>I applied in July. 3.89 weighted gpa, 3.44 UW, 1960 SAT, 1230 CR + M, 31 ACT. I have some volunteer work, been drum major of the marching band for two years. I sent in an essay and 3 letters of recommendation. What are my chances of getting in? Also, when is Pitt going to start sending out letters?</p>

<p>Pretty good. Your GPA is a good median and you have a good ACT score (and even your SAT is above the 1200 M+CR threshold). </p>

<p>Well the first bath is in early October. IIRC it’s generally sent out to the “stellar” apps-- the ones that would be automatically UHC eligible, etc. I don’t know if you’ll hear back then, but I would think by the end of November you should.</p>

<p>My son got his acceptance in the mail today - he applied at the overnight at the end of June. I wasn’t expecting to hear anything until after Oct 15 since that was the date they said he had to get his supplementals in by.</p>

<p>I should add that his acceptance letter does state that he is eligible for UHC and that he’ll be getting that information separately.</p>

<p>Yup, DS also received his acceptance to Pitt. Didn’t open it yet since he is not home but that Congratulations splashed across the envelope gives it away!</p>
