Since Business Presentations Honors is only open to students in the ACE program for the fall, should I wait until 2nd semester to take it? Would I be better off just taking the non-honors version in the fall? Currently I am registered for basic accounting skills, computer in business honors, compass, kelley llc development, classic mythology, psychology, and billiards. I don't have any more gen eds to complete due to summer classes I am taking and ap scores. I hope to get accepted into business honors and take a311 sophomore year. Any feedback would be great!

Adding Business Presentations to that first semester schedule seems like it would make it a very challenging semester, and not needed since you are already well ahead due to APs and summer classes. Whether you take C104 or C106, I recommend pushing it to second semester. My daughter wanted to take C106 but couldn’t get in, even 2nd semester freshman year. She took C104 and has no regrets. I don’t have any insight into C104 vs C106 or into the business honors program, but my gut feeling is K204 is more important than C106 for business honors.

My daughter was accepted into Business Honors Program and took non-honors versions of both classes (C104 and K201). Faculty evaluations are solicited for these two courses so your professionalism/conduct in class matters as does establishing a relationship outside of class by visiting office hours. Also, the biggest factor gaining acceptance into Kelley Honors Program (after meeting min 3.7 GPA) is demonstrating LEADERSHIP - so get involved in clubs/activities as soon as you arrive on campus so the club sponsor/leader can provide a strong recommendation.
