I am finishing up Pre-Calculus this year and I was wondering when should i register for this test? Is it better to do it after taking Calculus or right now after Pre-Calculus?

I’m in Pre-Calculus as well, and I registered for the May date. (I registered on that date because I’m taking US History as well, and it’s only a few days away from the APUSH exam) I will most likely be taking it again in October/November/December during Calculus if I’m not satisfied with my score.

I personally thought that as long as you have a graphing calculator and know how to use it for each question type, math II is a joke.
Unfortunately I didn’t own one so I had to go through everything with my crappy little scientific calculator… and at the time I hadn’t taken any course in functions (not to mention anything about calculus, obviously)… but ended up with a decent score, so yeah. Graphing calculator for the rescue.

I am also in precalculus and I signed up for the June test. My teacher recommended that we take the SAT II right after the precalculus course, because after you’re in calculus, the precalc material goes away pretty quickly.

I took mine when I finished Pre-Calculus in June and I did fine (770 ), so after Pre-Calculus?

Graphing calculators help…a lot.

“My teacher recommended that we take the SAT II right after the precalculus course, because after you’re in calculus, the precalc material goes away pretty quickly.”

I still remember some stuff, but most of it does go “away pretty quickly”…

What’s the cheapest graphics calculator recommended for the SAT Math II? My calculus calculator is not allowed (stylus-driven).

Check the SAT website. Classes fill up fast and you would already have to pay a late fee for the May test. If you are a junior, I would suggest taking in June in case you want to apply early to some colleges.
