Hey everybody, having a fun summer? So I will be starting my junior year beginning the first of September. I'm fairly apprehensive since I'll be taking the hardest senior classes at my school...as a junior lol. I guess that's good & bad, but I'm up for the task. Back on topic, I'm wondering when is the best time to take the ACT? I took it April of my sophomore year & I received a 30 (29E, 31M, 28R, 31S). I just purchased a few prep books; barron's 36, red book 3rd edition, 1,296 questions, & improve your reading score with three minutes a day. I know it's a lot, but I feel that I'm capable of handling it. I was thinking of taking it again in February, or in April. I'm not entirely sure which. My goal is at least a 34...hopefully higher. I'm wondering, when do you feel is the best time to take the ACT? And do you think that a 4-6 point jump is feasible, or even possible for me?

You can jump 4-6 points, especailly if you got a 30 as a sophomore. The first time I took it was February of my Junior year. However, you probably don’t want to waste all of that practicing. So I would keep doing practice problems and tests until you take it again. You may want to take it even earlier in December or something.
