When will I be contacted about the Research Scholars Program?

I'm an incoming freshman for fall 2013 and I have already been admitted to the Honors College. I retook the ACT in October and, when superscored, I have a 32 which is needed to be part of the Research Scholars Program. I contacted Dean Silverman and he said that they will superscore the ACT for admittance into the program, but does anyone know when the college contacts people to apply for the program? I'm just freaking out because the scholarship deadline is approaching and I don't want to miss out this.

(This may be very, very wrong, but) I thought you had to fill out a request form to receive the application. Anyone can apply if they’re eligible.

On the Research Scholars Program page, it says that those eligible will be contacted by a staff member and invited to apply for the program. I’m just not sure because I had already applied before the new ACT score boosted me up to a 32 so I don’t know if I’ll get another letter in the mail or e-mail asking me to apply. Thanks though, I just the wish the website would say when they contact people. I was curious so I hit the button to apply and it’s still for fall 2012 lol

Contact Dr. Silverman again and let him know you now have a qualifying 32 score and remind him that you want to be considered for the Research Scholars Award. Remember scholarship funds are limited and not everyone applying will get a scholarship. You may never receive an invitation for the award because there simply is not enough money to go around for everyone. Even after you are enrolled at USF, always keep your nose and ears to the ground sniffing for available scholarship money throughout your college years…what’s not available today may be tomorrow. Good luck!

I had qualifying grades and act score when I applied, and I haven’t heard anything about the Research Scholars program either, even though I’ve been accepted to the Honors college. I wouldn’t worry too much yet, but let me know if you hear anything please.
