Hey guys,
So I was accepted to the University of Pittsburgh on September 24 and I still have not received a scholarship offer. Is it normal for the offer to take this long? Or does it mean that I do not qualify for any scholarships?

Also if I tell the OAFA that Drexel University offered me $38k, do you think they would increase their offer?
I am OOS btw.

@mommdc One of my friends last yr had nearly the exact same stats as me and I was estimating my offer using hers I ended up receiving $10k a year though this past week.
check other threads. there is a procedure you can go through at pitt proving you have the 38K scholarship offer from drexel and pitt may offer you more money based on that. i think pitt compares the comparative costs of both schools and pitt has to decide whether Drexel is a comparable school.
Is the 38k from Drexel all merit aid or does it include need-based aid? Yes you can try and do a cost analysis to see if Pitt will match your bottom line with Drexel.
Drexel’s tuition and r&b is over $60,000 so you would still have $20,000 to pay. Pitt’s OOS cost is $40k? With your scholarship of 10k that would leave 30k. You might qualify for need-based aid there too. Did you submit your FAFSA yet? Is the aid from Drexel an estimate or based on FAFSA?
Since you were looking at Drexel, did you also apply to Temple? UA Birmingham? If you’re looking at med school in the future you might want to keep undergrad debt to a minimum. Did you apply to schools in your home state?
