As Binghamton had rolling admissions this year, when will decisions start going out? I've heard January and I've heard April. Does anyone know for sure? I applied very early, because that's what they say to do....apply early, early, early. So does anyone want to guess when the first letters should be going out?

OOS will hear before instate; I would imagine they will start in January and end in April…

Someone said they would begin sending letters Jan. 15th. I have no idea if this is true. I guess they want to see the “whole pool” of applicants before making a decision, but I think it is a mistake. So many colleges offer “early action” and give early merit scholarship offers, as well. Students visit the other schools on Accepted Students days and it is tempting to start visualizing yourself at one of these other schools. Binghamton is very competitive and you can’t count on it.

My son applied early action to all his other schools has already made arrangements to visit on the Accepted student days.

My son’s Binghamton application was complete in November. I hope they send out decisions soon.

When a Binghamton rep visited our HS they said they went by Modified Rolling and notifications wouldn’t start going out until March.

I talked to the office. They said to expect a letter from them by April 1st, and that’s it.

I get that we should know by April 1st, I’m just wondering when they willl start going out. March seems really late.

Apparently Binghamton is no longer rolling…

Binghamton is definitely rolling admissions. April 1~ will be the decision day. Or ± 5 days.

my friend got accepted last week. She applied early October

your friend probably had special circumstances…representatives continue to claim that letters will be sent out in march.

That’s what I was going to say. I spoke with Bing admissions today; nothing going out till April. Plus, they don’t have accepted students day/weekend until sometime in May – so you can’t use that to help you make your decision.
