My daughter applied back in October and still has not heard one way or the other from Central Florida? I called admissions yesterday to see when they would be letting her know and . . . they didn't know. They are rolling - which I knew - and they don't have a specific end date to let everyone know by. They said that May 1st is the date that kids have to make a decision so they try to accomodate that. I'm assuming that since they have had my daughter's application for so long and not made a decision that they are leaning towards a denial but holding her just in case?

HaYDuH: UF can’t be compared in this case because they have a set decision day. UCF however is rolling like KarGaro said.
KarGaro: There are a few people on here saying their app has been in since September and they havent gotten answers back and some applied in December and have gotten it back. From what I’ve seen in peoples stats, the higher your stats, the quicker you hear back.

Kargaro would it be ok if you shared your daughter’s stats.

What I meant fayth93 is I know people that applied to UCF in October. These same people were accepted to the University of Florida. These same people heard back from UCF 5-6 months after applying to UCF. I’m pointing out that people who are accepted to UF usually have very high stats.

Have you check MyUCF? If you haven’t done it so far, find your PID by pressing “What is my PID?” under the MyUCF login and check your application. Click “Student Self Service,” “Undergraduate Admissions,” and Application Status." UCF got my application October 12 and still hasn’t updated my status, and many others are having this issue. I feel bad for the people who only chose UCF because they thought they’d instantly get in with their good grades and now are waiting for any response.

I spoke to a Mom today, who’s son applied UCF for Fall of last year and he ended up at FSU. She told me that they never ended hearing back from UCF. They checked online, and the online status just kept saying that UCF had received the information and a decision had not been made. She said she knows of another family that this happened to as well. They just never received a decision, period.

I just got checked my application status and found out I waas accepted!! Finally! I was on the wait-list for what felt like forever. I was accepted to the summer term and theres a very good chance I’ll be going. If anyone was wondering, here are my stats:
UW GPA: 3.0
W GPA: 3.76
SAT: 1800
ACT: 24
decent amoount of ECs
194 hours
