When you and spouse disagree about music major

<p>No, I can’t really see my particular child (or anyone for that matter) being wildly successful in a career that someone else pushed them into. (The problem is that we seem to have a lot of old world type acquaintances who have done just that - and I assume it’s just too early to see the fallout from it yet. When do people start bailing from the career they hate that someone else pushed them into? 30? 35?)</p>

<p>There is no set age for the bailing to start. But before my sons were born, I vowed not to push them in any direction because of all the pushing I saw my parents doing. I do however make suggestions based on the directions they think they want in their lives.</p>
