one girl told me they did stuff over at one of the units, but i'm over at ckc and it's pretty dead... ahhh!

my roommate hasn't even shown up yet, and the floors are practically empty. aren't there supposed to be welcome activities for spring admits or am i just being lame?

I wouldn’t say you are being lame at all. There ought to be events around for you. Why don’t you ask your RA? On another note, when your dormmates show up, you’ll get a lot more information and presumably be included in more of the things that go on. Don’t hold back: introduce yourself around widely and find people who can show you the ropes and who are friendly. The thing about Berkeley is to not be passive; that way you’ll discover a lot more and be rewarded. Good luck.

I’m not sure if those are still going to occur. Some of the Spring welcome week people requested funds from Bowles Hall Ass., but we rejected them of all funds

CKC is less dense than the other dorms, so you need to be more aggressive to go out and meet people and make friends. You aren’t tripping over people all the time like in one of the units. Lots of upside to this, easier to sleep and study, but some downside in that it’s a little harder to meet people.
