Where are you guys in APUSH?

Cold War test tomorrow

US History Part 1 Soph year and Part 2 Junior year, Honors and College Prep.
Pre-AP Soph, AP Junior.

And I don't mind because I may very well end up being a history major :D
Best teacher I've ever had, too.
So I'm not exactly sure why it's two years. But people at my school are insanely successful with the AP test.
And now I can't imagine having it for just one year... or semester!

We just finished Vietnam & the Civil Rights Movement. Seems we are about on track =)

blinkangel, i think the two year system works pretty well. We start APUSH second half of sophomore year..and my school also has a really good track record with the ap test. last year we had fourteen 5's, fifteen 4's and two 3's. I cant imagine fittign all the material into a single year.

We just finished 1970s / Watergate / Nixon

Next chapter will be about Ford administration, etc.

Only 2 chapters left! [of Brinkley]

Just out of curiosity... Those of you who are virtually done, i.e. Catalysis, did you start school in August? I've always wondered whether or not the time we lose starting in September significantly impacts AP preparation...

Coldwar.. so boring.

Whatever is after the Cold War. Yeah, I don't pay attention in history

we are so behind. we are at the gilard ages?
is that how you spell it lol

I took my AP course online, and i am finished. We got all the way through President Bush's first term in office. I now have 1 month to self study and i am using Kaplans APUS book, and i just got done reviewing Bacons rebellion. i plan on being done with this book in two weeks so i can read another book.

Wish you all luck on the APUS exam, i am shooting for a 5!

gilded age?
holy crap

i don't think my class is even going to get through Clinton. how far are all your classes going in terms of what material you plan to cover?

I mainly sleep in class so I really have no clue what unit we're on. We use the Enduring Vision, currently on the Eisenhower administration. Unfortunately, I stopped paying attention in class sometime before WWI.

we are finishing up the cold war/ 60 / civil rights era, in american pageant book, basically done with ch 39.

At my school the APUSH class just finished the textbook and are starting their review tomorrow.

We are on Ronald Regan. We are pretty much done with the Cold War and only have two chapters left in our book. It's down to the home stretch.

1960's after the Cold War. Does anybody feel like it's going to be impossible to memorize soo many details for the exam in May? I mean, seriously, every 2 pages there's a new president who does something to the tariff and pass so and so reform bills, etc...How is it possible to study for this? I've basically forgotten everything we've read the first 5 months of school...

^^^ get great prep books that diminish the content.
