Where can I find people to sublet my apartment?

This was my first year living in an apartment and I have no idea how to go about finding people to live in my apartment for the summer. What do most people do? It doesn't seem like any of my friends are taking summer school and I don't really know where to ask people.

I would really have to waste $1,200 especially if I'm not even going to be there in the summer =(

I’ve seen posts in the Daily Bruin, but just yesterday, I saw a similar ad to sublet on the inside door of one of the stalls in the humanities building (for a complex called that Pink Palace!).

Craigslist, of course, is another option; or Facebook.

You’ll have to screen callers, of course, and you’ll be responsible for any issues that arise.

Thanks for the feedback 77. Anyone else?

just a side note, to other people viewing this looking for an apartment either now or in the future… AVOID ZUMA HOUSING AT ALL COSTS.

Most people I know go the Facebook or craigslist route

I strongly disagree with the pal with username ‘beer’. Zuma Housing offers SHORT-TERM LEASE OPTION which sounds exactly what you need. I have been living in one of their apartments and I am fully satisfied with what they have to offer. They have whole apartment, private and shared room options and all apartments come FULLY FURNISHED, so no need to worry about furnishing your spot. They include all utilities, cable and internet in the rent too! I would just stick to them if you need your summers away from campus… Good luck everyone! :)
