Where can I get a full ride scholarship for Fall 2021?

I would like to know which universities I could get a full-ride scholarship.

My stats:

GPA: 3.9 (unweighted)
SAT: 1230 (EBRW - 580, M - 650)
ACT: 26 ( S - 29, M - 27, R - 24, E - 23, W - 7)
SAT Subject Tests: 2370 (Math Level 2 - 800, Chemistry - 790, Physics - 780)

I would like to apply for engineering.
Are there any universities that can offer me a full-ride with these stats?

Full rides are difficult to get. Often they are SAT-based, and, without special circumstances, yours is on the low side to be competitive for those.

What is your FAFSA EFC? What is your budget without a full ride? Are you an American student? From which state? URM? The more information the better chance some posters here can come up with ideas for you.

There seems to be an unusual gap between your SAT/ACT math and your Subject SAT Math Level 2 scores. Any chance for a retake? It may help quite a bit.

Do you need a true full ride (tuition, fees, housing, meals, book & materials allowance), or do you just need at least full tuition and fees?

What state are you a resident of?

I am very curious as to why the large discrepancy between your SAT/ACT, and your SAT subject tests - and I think that the college admissions committees will be, too. Do you have any idea why the discrepancy? Is there some good reason that you could convey to the admissions committees, so that they might think that the SAT subject tests are the better reflection of your mastery of the material?

You might get a significant tuition discount at less competitive schools with engineering. Your GPA sounds great, and those SAT subject test scores are very nice. But I don’t think that those schools are going to offer anything off of room and board for you, unless you can demonstrate significant financial need. It may be that your best bet would be living at home, and commuting to your nearest state college that offers engineering.

What can/will your family pay for college? What is your home stare?

Note that PVAMU is an HBCU.

Speaking of great Scholarship opportunities at HBCUs for students with GPA/SAT/ACT stats like yours, here are others:

https://www.aamu.edu/admissions-aid/financial-aid/scholarships/index.html
Alabama A&M Univ
It looks like you fall a little short on the SAT for the full-ride (tuition+R&B+$1K/semester for books) Presidential Scholarship. However, you qualify for the Merit Scholarship with covers the full price of tuition.

https://www.alasu.edu/admissions/undergrad-admissions/asu-academic-scholarships
Alabama State Univ
With your GPA and your 26 ACT, you qualify for the Presidential Academic Scholarship. Full ride including Tuition+R&B+Books+AllFees.

https://www.mvsu.edu/prospective-students/scholarships
Mississippi Valley State Univ
With your GPA and your 26 ACT, you qualify for the Presidential Academic Scholarship which is cover Tuition+R&B+AllFees+$500ForBooks.

https://www.uncfsu.edu/paying-for-college/scholarships-(paying-for-college)
Fayetteville State University
With your GPA and your 26 ACT, you qualify for the Dr Valeria Fleming STEM Scholarship, labeled as a “Debt-Free Scholarship” meaning it does not include any loans. It includes Tuition+Fees+R&B. Students will be provided a faculty mentor in your major who will guide your student research and be of assistance in many ways. It is worth noting that FSU has a 3+2 agreements with NC State University (1hr away) for students majoring in Engineering. The Scholarship deadline is Feb 21, 2021

Any student who is in dire financial need to attend college should visit various HBCU websites to see what is available. HBCUs are open to all students, no matter your race, religion, sexual orientation, or whatever. It is a mistake to think that today’s HBCUs are for only one kind of student.

For instance, Fayetteville State U is 58% Afr-Am, 20% White, 8% Hispanic, 2% Asian, 2% Native American, 1% International. There is a place for everyone at these schools.

From OP’s other threads:

OP is a US citizen studying in India.

OP has been accepted to Purdue University, rejected by Georgia Tech. Cannot afford to attend Purdue.

OP’s father is now unemployed resulting in a changed financial situation.

No mention of the SAT subject matter tests in any of the other threads.

@d33psan Full rides are a bit limited but Here is a great resource about colleges that give full ride scholarships, you would just need to check your stats against the admission requirements for each college along with merit scholarship guidelines and see what the income guidelines are to see where you might fall… https://blog.prepscholar.com/colleges-with-full-ride-scholarships

Your link isn’t working for me.

@TheFAFSAGuru We can’t link to blogs on CC.

@Mwfan1921 yikes! I’m new to this! Sorry about that!

You’d qualify to compete for the full-ride at Langston University, an HBCU in Oklahoma. It opens in February and google “McCabe Honors Program” for more information.

The free app to the school is on the website. Langston offers Electrical Engineering in its Technology major, Computer Science, and a Construction option. Another thing to google is the “USDA 1890” which I believe is a full ride open to engineering majors at 19 different HBCUs.
