Where can I list dual-enrollment courses on my application?

my school doesn’t include them on my transcript. Should I add them in additional info?

Presumably, you list all high schools and colleges attended on the application.

If the college wants transcripts on application, send the college transcript for the dual enrollment courses.

If the college uses self reporting of courses and grades, list the college dual enrollment courses as well as high school courses.

My son found this to be tricky, also. There wasn’t an obvious place to put these courses on the Common App. He listed the colleges in the “Colleges & Universities” section, and then put details of the courses taken in the “Additional Information” box.

Agree with the previous two posts. Here’s what the Colleges and Universities section looks like in the Education tab of Common App. Reiterating that for some colleges you will need to send the CC transcript to them.

yes, I’ve done this bit. I just also requested official transcripts from my cc. The only problem was that I’ve down coursework at 3 different cc – the fees is gonna add up. I think I’ll email my other colleges to see if maybe I can do unofficial?

You can email and ask, but some schools will need the official transcripts. Make sure to include the CC classes if you have to do the common app courses and grades section for any schools, and/or the SRAR for any schools.

When she was in high school, my daughter did a summer college course for credit. She listed the course in the education section on her common app, and sent the transcript to the college she matriculated at. It wasn’t an issue.

My kids’ HS guidance office was willing to upload official transcripts from dual enrollment and summer programs into the Common App portal, which avoided having to order separate transcripts for each application. You may want to check and see if your school will do this for you.

Thanks for suggestion! I’ll try asking her!

For this to work your HS GC would have to get the official college transcript directly from them, not you.

That would also depend on the guidance office. For both our kids (small school, knew GC well), we were able to bring the printed official transcripts to the counseling office and they scanned them and submitted into the Common App portal.

They really aren’t supposed to do that, because those ‘official’ transcripts could have been fabricated (which I’m sure you wouldn’t do, but some people do).
