Where do i stand??

<p>Currently I'm a Junior (11)
State: California
Ethnicity: Indian (south east Asian)
School: Competitive Public ~2000 Students</p>

<p>Overall GPA UW: 3.99
Overall GPA W: 4.2
Current GPA W: 4.83</p>

<p>Courses:
Freshmen Year (9): All Honors Classes, All A's except 1 B+
Sophomore Year (10): All Honors Classes, All A's
Junior Year (11): 3 AP's and the rest Honors, all A's so far</p>

<p>Class Rank: 7/532 (I expect it to rise after this year)
PSAT: 166 in 2007, I think I did much better than 180 in the recent 2008 PSAT
SAT: Not Taken Yet, But I have taken a diagnostic SAT a few months ago and scored 1780. I have been studying and i predict to score 2100+</p>

<p>Volunteer at Public Library (100+ hours so far, predicting 200+ by summer of 2009)

<p>Badminton Team (2 Years) Its a spring sport so i will have three years by the time i apply, and hopefully i will be in Varsity</p>

<p>Founder and President of Global Awareness Club (1 Year) We do fundraisers for humanitarian efforts and educate people about the issues of the world</p>

<p>So what are my chances so far for the academy? I am not very strong in the sports area, but i think im good with the grades and hopefully with the SAT scores...</p>

<p>I agree with JustAMom…you need SAT or ACT scores. A varsity sport is good, too. Founding a club is good, but what other areas are you showing leadership in? Are you in student government? Boys/girls state? Your area is very competitive…you need to really find a way to stand out in the crowd of applicants.</p>
