Its the summer and I want to get a head start, I have a lot on my plate the upcoming year (don't we all). I just don't know where to start. I am looking at the 5 topics, and I just cannot find anything significant that I can form into an essay. What should I do or where should i start?

Your topic doesn’t have to be significant-sounding as you think. There’s a lot of meaning in small things. I like to just write down random ideas and think about them for awhile to see if I can make anything out of them.

Would you give me a small example? That actually seems like a great idea.

Have you checked out: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-essays/1526461-pitfalls-traps-new-common-application-essay.html

I have just read it. Funny thing is, many of those topics he mentioned have some relations with me. But I feel that it might be too cliche. I am not a great writer, and I never really wrote a creative piece like this before (which applicant has?).
