Is my class going really fast?

Because we’re basically done with Cold War and are on the last unit of the American Pageant.

We’re not using Pageant either. I forget the exact name. I’m just praying for a miracle with the AMSCO.

My class is using American History: A Survey by Alan Brinkley (11th Edition). I found a lot of online resources (quizzes, summaries, key concepts) for the book, so that’s been helpful. It seems that just about everyone uses Pageant though; I hope our class isn’t at a disadvantage.

APUSH is a really popular AP. A fifth as many people take it per year as take the SAT. Compared to the other AP’s I’ve done, it’s also really easy, which could explain it’s popularity. At my school probably 50 people in my class are in it, compared to 5 in AP Biology and 3 in AP Physics.

my class textbook is The American Nation by John Garraty. We are also reading a side book, A People’s History of the United States: 1492-Present by Howard Zinn.

I ordered the REA Crash Course book a few days ago. hoping to get that soon

Yea, we have the Pageant too. We’re done with the book now, and during spring break we have to do president flash cards and then full review for a few weeks before the exam. Our teacher did virtually fly by some topics, such as Reconstruction or World War II, but I’d much rather receive two weeks of review than finish the book the week of the exam…
