Where Should I Apply?!?

Hey everyone. I've applied to the UC system and have an acceptance letter from SFSU...but I'd like some more options if you have any ideas:

4.17 weighted
3.82 un-weighted
4.00 UC
Class Rank: 24/422 (5.7%)

Awards/Honors:
National Young Leaders Conference
American Legion Boys State (1 of 6)
Pride Award (Given to students at my high school that best display care for the student environment and show a commitment to making the school a better place.)
School Board Student of the Month

Extracurriculars:
Baseball (4yrs; team captain)
Flag Football (2yrs; co-captain)
Barbershop Quartet (3yrs; student director and lead singer)

Community Service:
ESL Tutor (40hrs)

D.A.R.E. Role Model (20hrs)
Napa Music Clinics (120hrs; I work as an instructor for all types of new musicians multiple times a year. I get them started, then teach new ideas as they progress.)

SAT: (I CAN’T take standardized test well…)
SAT I: 560CR 600M 580W = 1740
SAT II: 590BIO 590MATHII

Other:
I love music! I’m over involved with my high school choir program: Section Leader since freshman year; 3yrs concert choir; 3yrs chamber choir; 2yrs vocal wkshp; 2yrs barbershop; student director of beginning men’s choir this year; offered a music scholarship to SFSU

Major:
Either English (Author, Journalist, Creative Writer, Professor/Teacher) or Music Education (Choir Director)

Check out these Midwestern schools: St. Olaf, Luther and Concordia (Minnesota). Get hold of some of their choir recordings. . .they will knock you out.

Bowdoin [10 characters]

I've heard plenty of recordings of St. Olaf, Luther and Concordia and they are amazing choirs; I want to find a school that has a repuation for more than music though...

Wow! Section leader since freshmen year? Good for you!!

All of St. Olaf's departments are really strong, with maybe the exception of the business department. (A friend of mine told me that she was told by someone at the college not to go there if she was looking primarily at a business major.) They are primarily known for their science (specifically biology) and music departments, but everything else is really good as well.

The deadline for the top academic scholarship (10k a year) has passed, but the ones for the 2nd tier academic (6k a year) and service/leadership (4k) scholarships aren't until February.

Food for thought. With your stats, maybe look at Northwestern or Oberlin as well.

Also, consider UF.
