Where should i go in michigan for eecs?

So I'm a senior in high school and i want to be an electrical engineer. I plan on getting an electrical engineering major with a computer science minor. I got accepted to kettering, state and mtu and am waiting on U of M. Which of these schools would be the best fit for me? I would like to get an internship in college which pushes me away from mtu, but I heard kettering had a bad eecs program. Also, how much does where you go matter? A lot of people say it's not where you go but how well you do, is that true? Thank you in advance, if you need any more information just ask. :D

Which of these schools is the best fit for you? Have you told us anything but that you think you have the wherewithal to apply to UM. So who are you? do you like big or small schools? large class size or small? how small? agrarian or rural? housing hassles? D-1 sports? men’s hockey or football or basketball? Help us out here, OP! Tell us whatever you can about you and what you like.

I’ve visited all of them and I feel they all fit me pretty well, but im not sure how they compare academically which worries me. should I just go to the one i think i will enjoy the most without worrying too much about how good of a program it has or is the prestige that important?

can you afford each of them?

for graduating engineers, the most important criteria is skill sets (platforms, programming, blahblah familiarity), internships/coop experience, interview, evidence of capable teamwork, and GPA. Oh, yeah, and prestige of alma mater. Roughly in that order. So, generally, no, it doesn’t make a lot of difference where you go to school. The exception is Ann Arbor. Go there if you get in. Not only because it is the best engineering school on your list and one of the great universities, but many prospective engineers drop out of engineering, so it’s nice to have a broader list of majors than those offered by tech schools like the ones on your list. Here’s hoping.
