My main goal is to get into Rutgers New Brunswick School of Buisness. However, I was denied but was admitted to the Rutgers NB SAS and Rutgers Newark School of Buisness. Where should i start off to have a higher chance of getting into Rutgers NB SOB.

Go to NB SAS…the business isn’t that great…most of the people who get the front office banking jobs are economic/stats or economic/math majors anyway.

I plan on doing accounting. Where do you think i should go? I’m also not looking forward to dorming or being in a big atmosphere…From what i know a competitive gpa is 3.5-3.7 for SOB?

honestly in terms of recruiting rutgers nb business and rutgers newark business is more or less the same, especially for accounting…nb is jut better for dorm life, and the campus is nicer. but the big four come to recruit on both campuses.

I think you should go to newark…if you are truly certain about accounting

I would think that you need at least a 3.5 to transfer into NB Accounting. It is a competitive major, along with finance.

Yeah i think Newark would be the better choice especially when the SOB is pretty much the same…

I just wanted to know what would be the better choice to begin off with though, thanks.

If you want to end up at NB, then I would choose SAS. You can take all your prerequisites there and not be worried about things transferring over. Someone recently posted that they took a few business classes at Newark that did not transfer over to NB.

It is not that hard to get a good GPA your first 2 years at NB, just go to class, do the homework, and study. It’s harder to keep up your GPA up later with all the upper level accounting courses so make sure you start out strong.
