Where to go to buy furnishings

What stores around UCI are best to go to buy some affordable and simple small furnitures like tables, chairs, futon, etc...

We're moving into an unfurnished UCI apartment next month and are unfamiliar with the area, so would be curious as for advice. We have a small SUV so are capable of lugging some stuff.

Also - what about beds and mattresses? They won't fit in our SUV I don't think, so any places that can do same-day delivery?

Thanks in advance!

Well…Theres an Ikea store off the freeway close to irvine

Does the Ikea sell roll-packed foam mattresses and dissembled boxed bed frames? If so - then it may be quite possible to simply use to SUV to transport the bedding, no? What have others done in the past?

there’s a furniture store on jamboree and campus drive… i forget what its called but its right next to the office depot, and is about 5 minutes from campus.

If you have a Freecyle group in your area, people are always giving away stuff that can furnish student apartments. [The Freecycle Network](http://www.freecycle.org/)

Just become a member for groups in your area - it’s free.

Definitely SemperFudge, most of their items require assembly so you shouldn’t have too much problem fitting it in an SUV to take up to UCI.

i found it! i didnt remember the name of the store so i used google maps street view and walked down jamboree till i found it lol…

the furniture seems a bit… classy? i dont know but give it a shot! also really close to campus so thats a plus.

If you need cheap Ikea will definitely be a route to consider :O, it is in Costa Mesa though but not that farm from UCI.
