where?

It seems amazing to me. I'd love to go.

Aminitna, are you American living in China or just Chinese all together?

I wish school would start. We haven't even had registration here yet, (August 13).

what's registration?

You go in, get your class schedule, for my school school photos are taken, you get your locker/locker combo, meet a few teachers, sign up for school lunch, et cetera. It's just "registering" for the school year so the school knows you didn't move during the summer type of thing.

register day for bs is a kinda the same thing but u set up ur room, meet ur advisor, dean, roommate, and do last minute shopping down the road at wal-mart...lol

gott it... ooh. sounds rather fun

It's rather boring for public high school. I can't speak yet for BS.

still in private mid school-- we dont have anything like that. there is a ridiculously small amount of people in our school, so there is a person waiting right where we get off the bus. they tell us our homeroom, and in homeroom we get schedules and whatnot. boring, boring, boring. I want boarding school so bad!!

What is exeter ike on the first day?

oh gods, wickedcrazy, your question 'what is Exeter like on the first day' is making me go crazy!!! you applicants are just as excited as us attendees, although I think my stomach is going a billion times more insane...

i agee!!!! everyday im countig down the days lol choate here i come!lo

eeeee, goign crazy! sportincourty-- are u GOING to that LOVELY, WONDERFUL, place by the name of Exeter? ooh, with the intertwined town, and the amazing classes, and the dorm life, and the intelligent, debating, willing, super friends, ad my goshhhhhh. are you?

wowpersonally i didnt like exter/andover one bit....they r very popular on cc

I'm in love with Exeter. I love the big, bustling population of students, and the rapid ativity and the academics and the extracarriculars! Choate's pretty cool too, though.

choate's amazing lol

I'm unable to visit any in person, so what I hear on here an read off of their and other websites is about all I get. Exeter tops all that I've seen so far.

hey check out st.pauls too...personally hated environment but others love it....much better than A/E in everyway

I've been checking St. Pauls out too.

How religious are most of the students there? Does anyone know? I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable going to a "religiously oriented" school.

It is not really a religious school in the sense that you are worried about. There is required Chapel, but I would characterize the Chapel as St. Paul's version of an Exeter or Andover assembly meeting. Only - much more beautiful because of the stunning St Peter and St Paul church. Our guide said that it was his favorite part of the day - the time and place to join with the community first thing in the morning and hear the news of school, music, and secular and non secular readings from multiple viewpoints.

Oh ok.

I don't like being around religious activities. (Although I am religious ironically enough.)

That seems fine with me though.

I'm not religious, but St Pauls didnt seem too religious when I went there. Maybe it was because the kids were in class, but I didn't really like the atmosphere, either.

chapel is like the weekly meeting held at other schools...the only religious part is that they have reading from all differnt kinds religious books...so that was very interesting....st.pauls was my second choice so if u have any ? just ask....also taft.....
