Where's the best place to go shopping for your dorm?

Target, Walmart, Jc Penny's, Bed Bath and Beyond?

walmart or target however these places can get pretty pricey

Target. You may be able to look online like pbteen.

Bed bath and beyond is my favorite, but they’re a little more expensive than target or walmart.

+1 for Target.

BB&B is very popular but they’re often more expensive. Nice selection though.

When I lived in a dorm, my college was in a one-horse town and contained only a Wal-Mart and Bed Bath and Beyond, so I got everything I needed there.

Our campus store also carried a lot of (extremely overpriced) dorm items too – so anything you might have forgot to purchase, you may find there at the last minute.

+1 for target. i got pretty much everything there.

I’ll say Target. And how about Linen-N-Things?

And maybe for small stuff, a local dollar store =)

urban outfitters

^^ Linens n Things is out of business.

How about BrylaneHome.com?

target, ikea, and urban outfitters were my top three stores.

I read something about shopping at Wal-Mart vs the Dollar Store in terms of bargains. As far as I remember, Wal-Mart came out on top, though you generally had to buy more bulk rather than a few pieces like you could at the dollar store. Not sure where the article was though :(

+1 for Target!

notan4me, I totally forgot that Linen-N-Things went out of business. 0_o

I think they are still doing business online though.

Yeah I like Target and BBB, but you might want to check out thrift stores too for knick knacks. I got a nice fold up hamper for $2.

I’d say Target. The Dollar Store is really great if you’re an organizer like me and you just want some cheap bins (that aren’t available for the eye, so they just have to work, not look pretty). Walmart was also a go-to store for us, as well as Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

Mushaboom Blue, thanks for that info about LNT.com!

We’re shopping in NY for college in FL, so internet is probably the best way for us to go!

Residence hall Linens. Get your stuff all in one place. [Offering XL twin sheets, college dorm bedding, dorm linens, storage, bath essentials](<a href=“Namecheap Education Program: Free Domains for Students”>Namecheap Education Program: Free Domains for Students)

^ that site is awesome! although i really dont like any of the 20 colors they come in… :(

Go to Bed, Bath and Beyond if you have those 20% off coupons.

Target is another good place. Sears if you don’t mind spending extra money.

Here’s where I’ve bought things so far:
TJ Max
Marshall’s
Bed, Bath and Beyond
Christmas Tree Shop
Target
Costco (got a printer there)
