I'm a sophomore at the moment with about a 3.7 out of 4.0 gpa, looking to eventually apply to a middle tier school.
Right now I'm in a few honors but no AP classes and I'm confused as to which AP classes to take.

I'm stuck between AP Stat and AP Macroeconomics.
I plan on taking both of them by the end of my senior year but I only have room for one each year.

Which one will look better on my application taking junior year?
In your opinion which one is the harder class/test?
Will the grade I take each class matter when I go to apply to college?

Answers ASAP appreciated as I'm in the middle of my scheduling process! Thanks!

When you take them won’t matter. Pick the one that plays best to your strengths for you junior year–you may get a rec out of it, and your AP score will be higher.

Also make sure to ask around for advice. I know that at my school, Stats is so poorly taught that people do horribly on the exam and in the class. And consider which class has the hardest first semseter–I didn’t take Bio, because senior year Bio is structured so that most people fail first semester. I didn’t want that blip on my midyear report next year, so I took Chem, whose hardest year is this year (junior year), giving me time to raise my final grade for my transcript. Be strategic.

Me too about Stat. I’d say take Macro. I took that last semester, and I thought it was a great class, and it’s really relevant. Also, think about what you want to major in and base your decision around that.
