Which dorm do you think would be best for me?

I'm going to be a grad student next year, and the only options I have are:

Eigenmann, Ashton, and Willkie Quad.

Which one do you think is best?

Some of my preferences:
- I don't mind partying, as long as it's on Friday and Saturday and not on weekdays.
- At least 80% American students. Not that I hate internationals, but I can't stand it when people speak other languages in your face and don't try to make friends with their dorm mates because many of them only talk to people from their own country.
- Not all nerds, but not all good-looking people either, something in between.

How quickly do dorms fill up? If I apply in mid-March, will most places be taken already?

Ashton and Willkie are closer to most classrooms than Eigenmann. Since you are a grad student, most of your classes will probably be in only one or two buildings. Ashton is good for being near the main library and Kelley School of Business, Psychology, Geology, and Library Science. Willkie is in the southeast corner of campus, and may be better for some of the traditional liberal arts majors like history, political science, econ etc., although the library collections for these types of majors are overwhelmingly in the main library, which is much closer to Ashton than Willkie. These are some location related considerations. Don't know how different these are socially, though Ashton is not a party dorm compared to most because it is the location for Residence Scholars and is all single rooms.

Whatever you decide, you should probably do your application online and quickly, as so many people are trying to get into IU this year.

Thanks.

Anyone else have an opinion?

eigenman looks nice.....i think it would suit a grad student well

Is it true that Eigenmann is full of international students from Asia?

I'm not sure whether I want that, I prefer to be around people who communicate in English. And I don't want non-Asians to think that I'm "one of them" because of my skin color.
