I'm a little overwhelmed with all the choices, I just want some opinions.

Campus Village > Camino Del Sol > Arroyo Village > dorms.

I like cv over av because there’s a kitchen/living room that’s shared between only four people, whereas in av it’s shared between a bunch of people. I’m also picking cds over av because I don’t think I could manage to share a kitchen with more than three people…but cv beats cds because of the price. I know most people want the dorm experience, but I don’t think it’ll be worth an extra 6k. But that’s just my opinion ><

dorms > campus village > Arroyo > Camino for me

I really want Middle Earth since It is right next to the Computer Labs

Naw, trust me on this. The extra 6K is DEFINITELY worth it. It’s also more of the fact that a very large majority of freshmen dorm, too, and most seniors do claim their 1st year in the dorms was a better experience than the next three years in the apartments. It’s not the best to dorm any time after you first year, since you’d probably be one of the only non-freshmen doing it, but yeah, spend the extra 6k and go for dorms for your first year.

The residence halls are the most expensive. But that’s where you’re guaranteed the “college experience.” While the alternatives are cheaper & much preferable (at least for me), I worry that it won’t be the same experience.
Like Camino Del Sol? It’s so isolated. About 3-4 residents in each apartment & it’s so far away from the rest of the campus. Same thing with Arroyo Vista.
But if we’re involved on campus then it shouldn’t be too big of a problem, right? We’d still meet a lot of people.

Well… now with this survey going on, you’ll probably be housed with freshmen wherever you choose.

In my opinion, the 6K is not worth the experience, especially if you cannot afford it, and you’re taking out loans.

But yes CV > AV should be easy. Go with the dorms if you can afford it.

are campus village and arroyo co-ed apartments?

dorm experience is overrated. UCI is the worst dorm food of all the UCs plus who wants to possibly be stuck in a tiny dorm with 3 roommates?
