hi guys, im gonna be a senior and im just about done with sats except i need a third subject test. i'm wondering if its easier to selfstudy us history or literature, and which one its easier to get an 800 in. i did not take APUSH this past year but i have an exceptional memory, but i also got an 800 in CR on the sat1.

If you haven't taken USH, no matter how exceptional your memory may be, it'll be hard to catch up with a year's worth of boring, trivial facts. Literature's my suggestion.

I second that.

What makes literature so easy to self-study for? I always assumed lit. was the hardest.

yah it's hard. but you can spend countless hours doing practice tests.

World History. This is different from USH, because World History is actually interesting, and does not ask you obscure facts like the names of first ladies or secretaries...you will find yourself retaining a huge chunk after self-studying through a prep book! The questions aren't overly vague either.

ps. It also has one of the most liberal curves on SAT 2 ;)

Umm if you haven't yet take a math subject test. If not probably World History methinks. Unless you took regular US History last year in which case you would have it somewhat fresh. But anything - math would take a lot of work and IMO I wouldn't do it.

i've taken math2 already. but theres no world history sat offered on time i believe... (i'm going to be a senior and i need it in time for apps?). furthermore yeah, i just completed regular history.
