I am a senior applying to UCSD. I am very social and enjoy a social/academic balance. I will probably go through sorority rush. Though I am a very good student, academics are not my life. Which of the six colleges are the most social? After reading most of the threads I am seeing Marshall, Muir and Warren listed most often. I get the feeling Revelle is not for me.

Revelle is surprisingly close-knit because of the setup of Argo. ERC is pretty social, Muir seems to be social. What college you are in won’t make a huge difference if you go through sorority recruitment though
(which you should!)

Which one has the most attractive girls because I heard UCSD is hard to come by of those.

a part of me wants to say ERC because well, im in ERC… but i dont live on campus so it is rather difficult for me to say…
but:
GOOOO ERC!!! [Eleanor Roosevelt College]

EDIT i did a bit more digging

^this link has a bunch of stuff about each college, so definitely read that; i read that when i was choosing colleges, and i got ERC [a good and meh thing ;)]

lol thats a toughy…I’d say just choose a college.
but here is a beautiful forum thread that will help you narrow down your choices
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-san-diego/182000-girls-girls-girls-2.html

I don’t think that the individual colleges determine how social you will be at UCSD. What determines it is the degree that you participate in the school. There’s so many options: you can join the individual college council, the various clubs on campus, or join a sorority. I think that all the colleges have people who are extremely social.

However, as much as it pains me to say this, I’ve met a pack of sorority girls during welcome week who had to ask me where Warren is. They’re mostly seniors. I think that’s mostly due to the location of Warren (which is basically kind of secluded from the rest of the colleges). Nevertheless, some of the most social people I’ve met so far ARE from Warren.

If you’re more into parties, the general stereotype is to go with Sixth or to join a sorority.

there are gems in the rough in every college, sometimes lots more rough than gems
