Which one is the best college for master studies in PETROLEUM ENGINEERING in US ?

hello guys , It’s Adil, from India . presently i’m pursuing a Undergraduate degree in Petroleum Engineering in India.
I would like to study further and do masters in US. So can anyone guide me which is the best college in US and what steps should i have to take from now?
Thank you.

UT Austin and U of Houston has a good MS in Petroleum Engineering, and they are both located in Texas, a big oil industry in America.

SD school of mines is cheap and good. The Dakotas also have mega oil.

Firstly, there is no “one best” college in the United States, particularly when it comes to engineering. Really, any of the universities from the “oil patch states” would probably be fine for you. Also, I don’t think that South Dakota School of Mines & Technology has a graduate Petroleum Engineering department.

Well thank you all for your replies guys. @LakeWashington What about U of Houston? . I went through various websites on internet and i found it as it’s one of the best colleges in US. Will i be Placed in company after completing master studies.?

At present oil prices and w 100’s of thousands of oil industry people losing their jobs worldwide, it’s highly unlikely you’ll be placed in a US job w a US salary. However, a company with an affiliate office in india might be interested in hiring u for their india office at a local salary.

Financial analysts are predicting oil prices to stay low for years, due to depressed global demand coupled with extreme excess production from new fracking technology in the US.
