Everyone has their personal preferences. And each quad has their pros and cons

If you would prefer suite style (usually 3 rooms of 2 people sharing a bathroom and a suite [or sometimes a kitchen])- Tabler, Roth, Kelly

or there is corridor (a hallway that branches out to each pair of roommates’ rooms and then a shared bathroom at the end of the hall)- Mendelsohn, H-Quad, Roosevelt

I am living in Tabler and love it. The atmosphere and the people are great, feels very homey. The buildings are spread nicely and there’s a grass area in the center. We have a building called the Tac which has a printing center, music practice rooms, and a dunkin donuts which is a common place to get homework/studying done or to just hang out. There is a real sense of spirit in this quad, I believe, and I have a lot of fun here. At first I found this to be a con, though- we are located on a small sort of hill and it was a ***** to get to at first. But that was all of us just being annoying freshman and complaining. The walk to and from tabler is something you get used to right away

Kelly’s buildings are closed in and the center of the quad is very dark and gloomy especially at night. But they have a dining facility which is a plus. The rooms in both Kelly and Tabler are practically the same, except Kelly has a balcony you can enter through the suite.

Roth quad has a pond in the middle, kinda gross, but also a dining facility. I dont like the rooms here, though. In tabler and kelly suites, the suite/common room has a light fixture on the ceiling as well as one in the hallway leading into the room, giving a nice amount of light. But in Roth its just a lamp. Which I find very odd. When walking in the quad at night you see all these orangey-colored dimly lit suites and i dont really like it. Similar to Kelly’s entire quad at night (same dim and orange kind of lamps, makes it gloomy and creepy).

Can’t say much on Mendy or H-Quad since I dont really go over to that part of campus since its so far haha, but the quads seem to be pretty nice. The buildings I believe are only 2 stories so it seems much more flat, and there is an area in the center of each with a grass area. Although they have this ‘inner quad’ type of area, they dont feel confined at all… very open. They are both located near the stadium as well as another eating place called the Union.

Roosevelt… eh. I dont like roosevelt. Haven’t been inside any of the buildings but from what I can tell on the outside, the room you have is kinda small. Usually in corridor style rooms (like Mendy and H), you have a pretty damn big room (compared to the suite-style living), but in Roosevelt the rooms look to be just as small as the suite style rooms.

I was just babbling on about random stuff, but bottom line is that it is really hard to choose a quad from before coming in. Whichever one you end up in, you will probably grow to love
