Which residential college are you in?

Hey I’m in Jones and it is an awesome college. It doesn’t matter what the personality profile said, there are all types of personalities there. Trust me, after o-week you will love it too.

Where da Hanszenites at???

(I’m advising, and a proud HFH junior)

And yeah, Jones, and all of the other colleges, are fine. Don’t worry 'bout it.

@RaeBanging and Papajones…congrats, Will Rice is top notch. Demonsword55 is right, we’ve got a ton of college spirit and loyalty. We’re the only college that actually takes both words in “Beer Bike” seriously, save for Jones or Brown. Our college sports teams are always at the top (President’s Cup Champs again this past year), and our college theater program is definitely progressing into one of the best on campus. Get ready for the best week of your life at O-Week…WRC=We Run Campus

Westside - I’m so SO SO glad that Will Rice is awesome and all, but I AM a bit concerned about the fact that I’m nottt athletic at ALL. That probably sounds like a ridiculous worry, but one of the things I wanted to do in college was to try more athletic stuff just for fun. Is WRC so competitive that I won’t get to “dabble” in IM sports?

RaeBanging- Absolutely not. If you want do to powderpuff/freshman flag football (trying not to assume your gender), then just sign up for it. This goes for any other sport you can think of, soccer, basketball, floor hockey, etc. We don’t “cut” people or anything haha. The only thing that’s selective is Beer Bike, because we have lots of people that want to do biking/chugging and only 10 spots.

And not everyone at Will Rice plays IM sports, there’s lots of other college activities to get involved in. It’s not like the reason we have a history of winning is because we have all the athletic people at Rice- far from it. Will Rice is a accurate cross-section of Rice’s diversity, just like Wiess, Hanszen, Martel, etc. (Well maybe not Martel). It’s just that Will Rice sees college sports/Beer Bike as a way to unite our college. We try harder than anyone else to win and we take IM sports seriously, while having fun doing it. Some people view it as our way of contributing to Rice culture. My O-week advisor still laments the fact that his freshman flag team was the only one in the past five years not to make the championship game, as if it was an embarassment to Will Rice. We had a huge percentage of our college turn out for the powderpuff championship game last fall, where Will Rice beat Martel.

Wiess has their freshman one-act plays, Hanszen has “family” or whatever, Baker has BakerShake and Baker Blues, you get the point.

the beer bike practices during o-week is a bit much though…

Will rice-r right here as well!

EOL RRF!

Win.

Antarius, you have to get the training in early haha…gotta identify the talent early.

haha. obviously we missed that memo :P

@dadadoom @jchartier DUNC IS CRUNK! I’m advising at Duncan this year and we’re all SUPER excited to meet you all! Seriously, if you guys have ANY questions whatsoever just head on over to the fb groups and toss them out there. :)
