I have heard of UB before but never Albany. I am from South Carolina so maybe its more popular up there, but I think UB has a better reputation, which could help in business

Buffalo is much better, IMO, and is also on a path which will likely widen that gap.

If you’re not into nanoscience, then I see little reason to go to Albany over Buff. Also, I’ve heard horror stories at how heavily unsafe drinking is a part of Albany’s culture.

Eh, it could be with traffic but most of the time it’s not, depending on how far on LI you are. Anyway, Albany is about 2.5 hrs from Nassau County and Buffalo is about 6.5-7hrs.

Buffalo is 8 hours from LI. However, to get home to NY (LI or NYC) there are many flights daily from Buff/Niagara Int. Airport to LI (MacAuthur), JFK and LGA airports.

Probably Albany for business. When my sister went to college in 2004, she was accepted to Binghamton and Buffalo but weight listed at Albany. I think UA’s reputation is decreasing. It used to be one of the most, if not the most competitive SUNY school. I do know that Albany has a very reputable business program.
