Which School Would You Choose?

I am still waiting on like 5 schools, most of which are more reach type schools but you never know!! I am really trying to think practical here about my future. IF for some reason I don't get into any more schools, these are my choices:
INDIANA BLOOMINGTON, PARTIAL FACULTY SCHOLARSHIP and possible admission to Kelley school of business depending on what i graudate with which is #11 in business schools in US

MICHIGAN ANN ARBOR, a highly ranked school, no money

BENTEY BUSINESS smallish northeastern Mass. business school

USF I love san francisco but its the only real reason I would consider

U OF WISCONSIN MADISON I know its suppose to be a good school but Wisconsin doesn't appeal to me too much.

And that sums it up. What are you thoughts?

michigan

wisconsin
forget the other two, unless of course you really really like them.

I'd find the cash to pay for Michigan. Work hard and get into Ross - its elite. Indiana - Kelley, while good, still isn't elite.

Indiana- better overall college experience

Michigan and Wisconsin easily trump Indiana in every aspect of student life.

Yeah I see no way how Indiana trumps Michigan and Wisconsin.

but kelley school is ranked much much higher than Michigans and my ultimate goal is to study buiness.

I don't know what you're looking at kellyconn1, but Ross is much higher ranked than Kelley.

Kellley is NOT ranked higher than Ross. Ross is one of the top 3 b-schools in the US. Kelley is like top-15

Michigan definitely.

yea kelleyconn, kelley is solid bschool for undergrad but michigan takes the cake, also on side note, you dont have to major in busines to DO business or get mba just gota go to gud school wit connections. and usnews undergrad business is a bit off in my opinion, it doesnt even take into account all the top schools that dont have undergrad bschools so dont rely on tat ranking.

oops, sorry i guess i was going by what some other kids have been saying. well they are both way up there so i would feel honored to go to either. my chances are a little better at indiana plus i got over $10,000 and nothing at michigan, i mean I think they are both considered to be good solid big schools.the one thing i don't like about michigan, please no one be offended, is TONS of long islands kids go there and that is just not my scene whereas i hear indiana is a real hodgepodge of kids from all over. Its personal taste, nothing more.

kelly- you got it. That is exactly why I recommended IU for YOU over Michigan. Everything considered- money, a little milder climate, campus- I think IU is best event though it might not have quite as high of a ranking.

if u dont mind my asking, the 10,000 that IU offered u, what did it consist of?

I thought IU's maximum merit award for OOS is $7500.

for faculty award its 7000 and its possible that kellyconn might have gotten more merit based scholarships if she was admitted to the kelley bschool

Kelley is clearly biased towards Indiana, but the truth is Michigan is a far better school. Also, the long Island contingent is around 5-10% of the student body, completely avoidable.

slipper, says who? Even if I was biased, its totally my choice to be so. I am confused, some way Michigan is a better school and others feel I will be happier at Indiana, although it is not as highly ranked as Michigan. A few people I know are in each school, and I have to say that the people at Indiana do seem happier, no two ways about it. Clearly thats not enough to base anything on, though. Listen, I can't go wrong with either choice, neither are slouches by any stretch. I do however want to make the right choice for me. The Long Island contingent is higher at Michigan, quite prevalent I might add and frankly thats not my scene, no offense to you.

bottom line = go where you want and know you will excel. sure Michigan in terms of business is probaly significantly more of a better choice than Indiana but if you gota pay tat oos tutition for michigan without any scholarships or aid then screw tat. like u said u like IU so go for it, its my first choice too but it all comes down to if i can afford it or not (waiting for my selective scholarship app. result) since financial aid was only work study and loans and like u, a faculty award. besides for business its all bout the grad school and yes michigan might have slightly better recruiting at top companies but hey like i said bottom line = how well u do :) gud luk man or girl whichver u r.

UW Madison. it is the obvious choice. I go there and couldn't imagine a better experience. It has a great business school, is well connected to the community, is an incredible college town, and has a great party scene.
