<p>If anything will hurt me in my college applications in the fall its my disastrous 9th grade year. The good news is that each year I have gotten far better and now am almost straight A's with IB classes and a 2100 on my practice SAT tests consistently. I am looking to take my chances and apply to at least 4 or 5 top schools/ivies to "take my chances", Any idea which don't look at 9th grade or at least discount its importance? Thanks!</p>

<p>Even if a kid pull D's all freshman year, they still won't look at it?</p>
<p>My understanding is that it might come out in your transcript sent to teh school, or in the rec letters, but if the school says they don't count them, they usually don't.</p>
