Which schools offer guarenteed transfers!?

I've heard that only the SUNY affiliated schools offer GT's, but I've also searched this forum and there have been people who had said that they've gotten GT's from CAS as well.

Can anyone clear this up?

fingers crossed for dec.19th

I knwo hotel school has Gts.

Not to steal your thread, but does anybody know if you can get GT directly instead of deferred, then GT if you applied ED? Thanks!

no, they always defer the applicants first since they want to compare u to the RD applicants and then decide on GT...

dthizz, all the schools can give GT.Its just that some schools give it more often than others... A lot of my friends have applied to Cornell in the past and I have mostly seen GTs in CALS. That could also be because I am from NY and most of my friends apply to CALS.

everyone offered a place on the waitlist at the hotel school is also offered a guaranteed transfer. i am 100 percent positive that information is correct.

can someone confirm this?
now i regret not applying to hotel lol

From what I understand, CALS, ILR, and the hotel school seem to offer the most GTs.

are you fuh-reaking reals? HALLELUJAHHHHHH. OH MY GODDD!! I'M SO HAPPY =]] hahahha. and THAT'S why I also love the hotel school. now I wont' feel so bad if I'm deferred because there's more hope!

wait...before I die of happiness from hope, dande114, how do you know this? thanks!

Indeed: I can think of particularly CALS, ILR, & Hotel on the top of my mind (it seems like most GTs here are going into one of those three).

Many of the contract colleges have transfer agreements with some SUNY CC. I'm not sure if these are considered GTs. However for these transfer agreements you have to be fulfilling the reason of the college mandated by the state of NY.

For example, you must be studying something relating to the environment to be eligible for a transfer agreement to CALS. You can't be a AEM:Finance major and have a transfer agreement. It must fulfill the purpose of that college for the state of NY.

GT's are given by all colleges, although some more than others (I remember reading a thread about a few people in California that had GT's to CAS offered to them RD Freshman Year), to students who are otherwise qualified but something is preventing a clearcut admission. For instance, I was offered a GT because I was missing three classes for prerequisites as stated in my letter.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
: GTs and Transfer Agreements are different.

I do think there is a difference b/c what you said for the AEM @ CALS isnt true for GTs because i know someone who got a GT into the AEM program.

i remember because he complained about having to take bio -_-
