which top schools like stanford require u to submit both ur sats and acts(if u have taken both)? and do any schools have a bottom line reading section application limit(i only got 31 on my reading section) so are ther any schools that require a say 32 minimum on the reading to apply?
Upenn, Cornell, and Georgetown require all test scores of any tests you have taken, SAT, ACT, and subject tests. There may be others. There are no set bottom line test scores.
Yale and Stanford also require all test scores.
Actually, Yale gives you a choice. You can provide either all ACT scores or, alternatively, all SAT and SAT subject tests, And Stanford, which the OP already mentioned, requires all SAT and all ACT but you can send whichever subject test scores you want to send.
Surprisingly a Yale admissions officer told us to only send the ACT or the SAT, not the usual “more information is better” line. We have looked at a lot of schools and it is very unusual for a college to require sending all scores.
If I did very well on my act and did badly on my sat, and I want to send in my sat subject tests, does that mean I have no choice but to send in both sets(act sat and sat2) or can I ask college board to just send my sat 2s? thanks guys!
@drusba: Actually, Cornell doesn’t require you to send both tests if you’ve taken both. You just have to send all tests for whatever exam you choose to send (meaning, send All ACTs and/or All SATs and/or All SAT IIs)
^ That’s correct.

@Jaybee2016 people have given you a good summary of the reporting requirements. Check the individual school web sites and look at the FAQs they have on reporting scores.
