Which would be most fun?

OK, I know these colleges will kick my ass, but which would I enjoy the most? Please rank in order of most fun to least fun.

Brown
Yale
Princeton
UPenn
Duke
Harvard
Pomona
UC Berkeley
Tufts
University of Southern California
Rice

what are you looking for? everyone has a diff idea of what's enjoyable.

it would be kinda hard to do this since most people only know a few select few of these well enough.

if you enjoy big parties - USC and Duke would be there

Dunno much about the rest of them - and I only know that much about USC and Duke since they have good sports teams

You have to be a little more specific about what consitutes fun.

While Duke and USC have the biggest "party school" reputations out of that group, they are also 'greek life' schools. So unless you plan on going greek, or enjoy that sort of scene you're kinda screwed.

The Ivies all have different reputations as far as partying goes, and everyone that goes to them have different opinions of how they stack up against the rest. For example, a kid from Brown will tell you that UPenn is extremely easy which allows them to party all the time. Conversely, a kid from UPenn will tell you that Brown is lame and has no social life. So take your pick there. From what I've heard based on personal friends, In tems of "fun" UPenn and Brown are probably at the top of that list, while Yale and Harvard are about the same, with a slight edge to Harvard because there are less blue-bloods, and I unfortunately don't know anything about Princeton's social scene though I assume it would be similar to the others.

U.C. Berkeley and Rice are similar, however, I would recommend Berkeley as being more "fun." For starters, you have the entire Bay Area as a resource meaning you can ski, go to the beach, camp and all sorts of other stuff. Next, although Berkeley has a fairly extensive greek system, the social scene is not dependant upon it. House parties are numerous, communes offer an entirely different social scene and San Francisco clubs are only a train ride away.

Finally, Pomona and Tufts. In my humble opinion, Pomona offers the best (though admitadly slightly limited) social life of any of these schools. Pomona has both the close knit social scene of your ordinary LAC but also possesses the expanded scene of the Claremont Colleges. Secondly, no matter what sort of social scene you're interested in, POmona has it. However, the biggest strength Pomona has is that everyone is chill. There is no "in" scene such as the type that exists when greek life is the predominant social form, everyone is relaxed about going out, and everone works hard at the same time.

p.s. The only way to determine which school you will actually ahve the most fun at is to visit. get a feel for the people and you'll be fine.

We can't even begin to answer this question without a lot more information about what you're into. I cannot even imagine a life where I had more fun than I did at Harvard, but it happens to offer tons of the things I enjoy; the majority of college students would have 50 times more fun at USC (where I'd have been tearing out my hair and desperate to transfer, I suspect). What do you like to do? Who do you hang out with?

Well, all I know is that the two biggest party animals from my school attend Duke and USC...

I would think, from that list, that Tufts is low on the "fun" list

I dunno, I like chilling with people, clubbing (yes, I'm underage, but I've still been), I like laid back people, not overly serious or stuck on themselves. At the same time, I like ambition. I don't drink but I suspect in college I will...so that type of partying is cool...

Oh and I DJ, so anywhere I can get a job DJing parties or on-campus clubs would be cool.

How can you rank how fun a school is if you haven't spent a great amount of time at each of the schools?

reputation?

duke is amazing for parties. They have an incredibly laid back atmosphere and the kids definently know have to have fun. lol just walking around duke at night you can see sooo many kids walking around and falling down drunk. I was one of them at a point lol.
Yale also has some good parties but the ones I went to were very cramped and werent done as well done as the parties at Duke. Also the kids dont have as much fun there in my opinion. I remember that when I was drunk, a group of kids were asking me about what schools I was considering and what I liked to major in. I couldnt believe kids talk about that during a party. So from my experience yale is ok if you want to have fun while Duke is absolutely amazing

hmmbumpmmmmmm

"a group of kids were asking me about what schools I was considering and what I liked to major in"

what's wrong with that?

in my opinion, most fun to least fun...

University of Southern California (right in the middle of LA. lots of parties. crazy during football season)
Duke (lots of parties too. crazy during basketball season)
UC Berkeley (very artsy and liberal. close to san francisco)
Yale (most intellectually stimulating. close to NY)
UPenn (philly is cool)
Princeton (this is where it starts getting blah, but close to NY too)
Harvard (boston sucks. overrated)
Brown (socially dead, but incredibly "chill")
Rice (texas is death)
Tufts (blah)
Pomona (great school but noone does anything socially)

texas is not "death" and boston is so much cooler than philly

Duke and USC.

""a group of kids were asking me about what schools I was considering and what I liked to major in"

what's wrong with that?"

lol the last thing I want to do while Im drunk is to dicuss what colleges im considering. im trying to have fun, not discuss the future

USC - Football, Very Social Campus, Strong Greek Life, Lot of School Spirit, LA/OC, Beach within 15-20 min, Mountains within 1 1/2, idyllic climate
Duke - Basketball, Strong Greek Life, Lot of School Pride
Yale - Intellectual student body, unique housing system, New Haven's not that bad of a town, NY is relatively close by train
Harvard - Intellectual student body, also unique housing system, Boston, get to say you're from "Harvard" ;)
UC Berkeley - A closet party school, lot of drugs (if you like that), Football is gaining notoriety, BART system makes SF very accessible, Good Food, Decent school spirit
UPenn - Intellectual student body, Philly
Princeton - Intellectual student body, Nice campus, NY
Brown - Intellectual student body
Rice - Somewhere in Texas?
Tufts - Where the hell is Tufts?
Pomona - BOOORING location, do you like dry hills?
