@WHorBust: The reason you can’t save the PDF is because you probably don’t have the purchased version of Adobe. This was an issue for people in the past. What you can do is input your information and then “print to PDF” using either a Windows PDF writer or something called CutePDF. That being said, I’m sure they got your vitals and understood your explanation. I didn’t get a confirmation on vitals either.

@WH2010: Congratulations! I’m in DC and actually doing an interview tomorrow. Good luck for yours.

Thanks guys! It was neutral- not particularly good or bad. We’ll see what happens. The guy was from the Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation. Anybody else get any news? Also, does anyone know if you can get more than one offer, or is it a one-shot deal?

So what happens after the interview? The guy I spoke to made it sound like other people outside the office still had some sort of input. How do they weigh more than one offer? Anyone have any insight?

I got an interview request as well and will probably have the phone interview today. How long were your interviews? Did they ask specific questions or were they the usual generic interview questions?

In the past has anyone still been hired after not receiving any vitals email and not being contacted for an interview? Or does no contact mean bad news? :(

It generally has been bad news for those of use not contacted, I feel ya. I think I might have read one post a ways back where one candidate was just sent an acceptance e-mail. There’s always some hope though until you get the actual notification (fingers crossed).

So is says ‘the week of the 19th,’ do veterans of this board have an idea of the following:

In application cycles past, how many days after the 19th do they usually send out decisions? Or does the rolling basis mean that it’s different for every applicant?

Of candidates who have reported on this board that they received an interview, can you estimate the percentage of them that were actually awarded the internship? There were 140 people selected for the summer, I want to know how many people (roughly) are interviewed.

It’s all very exciting stuff and I wish you all the best. I am sure the White House is very busy right now with Wall Street Reform, so I have a feeling that decisions may get pushed back a few days.
