Who else is stuck on "We received the fall grades we requested"?

im sad that this is on the third page.
makes me think no one is on this status anymore soo bumpp

still here too!

Still on fall grades. =</p>

still there too :/

Same here…

me too. Always at fall grades…

Stat
ACT 33
GPA 3.72
SATII Math2 800, Chem 740.

I applied the last day on the deadline.

Accepted at NYU already.

Still at fall grades

same here :(

Don’t worry… I think “fall grades” just means “we haven’t made a decision yet.” No matter what your status WILL change. Regardless of whether or not you get accepted, you will change to “forwarded” and eventually to “being reviewed.” The only reason people think of “being reviewed” as the acceptance status is because USC doesn’t send out rejections this early. :)

How do you know that everyone’s status will change?

That’s what it did last year. In the beginning everyone changed to “being reviewed” (there was no “forwarded”) and then “acted upon” once their decision was sent. At the beginning that meant acceptance but by the end it was ambiguous.

I have no idea if they’ll be like that this year, but it’s all automatic. “Being reviewed” only appears when your decision is in the mail. So don’t fret! You guys will probably be in the next wave (whenever that is…).

There can’t be more then another wave, that’s just not possible we only have 1 more Friday… right?

How can I possibly still be fall grades if your theory is correct… this means they have not even LOOKED at my application yet? Or are they working on making a decisions?

EDIT: By ‘looked’ i meant since i have sent in my fall grades/updates

@jackdaniels

considering this past friday there wasn’t a wave, it could be possible that a wave might go out during a week and then maybe a smaller one on friday…just a possibility

except if fall grades needs to first go to forwarded (where they actually evaluate my application) chances are there’s not enough time for me to be in either, unless they plan on taking like a day to make a decision

Mine changed to forwarded for only 1 day before changing back to reviewed. Then I got my acceptance the next day.

@jack - all of the people who have been on “forwarded” then “being reviewed” were only on “forwarded” for about a day or two.

i doubt they’ll take a day since i always heard they have spirited debates over a candidate. My best guess would be that you might just bypass the whole being forwarded status. Maybe they’re running out of time and wont have the ability to update each person’s status. For all we know they might have or are evaluating your app and you don’t even know it yet because someone didn’t update your status.

oh well that gives me some hope. i suppose it’s just a waiting game

dbroncos…i’m assuming the status updates are automatic though

The status updates are automatic. They just mean that your app is passing through different departments. So maybe one person is taking a long time to consider your app, I dunno.

oh well then goes my theory then. @dream yeah i have noticed a lot of people being forwarded for only a couple of days and then switching to being reviewed. I wonder about the people who have been stuck at forwarded for quite a while now.
