<p>Is the call from a private number? I had a missing call from Wednesday at about 5:45 PM PST from a private number. I was just wondering if this could be from UCSD?</p>
<p>@fastsauce according to my friends who got the call, the number should be a 858 area code number.</p>
<p>ugh, three missed calls with different 858 numbers (within the past week). it’s too bad that i’m notorious for missing calls… should i call back to one of them?</p>

<p>@ernestjohn they will call again if you miss it because same thing had happened to some of the people i know. they missed the call and UCSD called them back the next day until they pick up</p>
<p>@fastsauce i’ve been waiting for the call the entire week. nothing. but the bright side is that all decisions will be posted on their online portal starting on saturday. :)</p>

Yesterday~
They called me on the 13th of march and missed the call twice. But I finally go the call yesterday and I was crying from excitement.
This whole week feels so unbelievable.
HOWEVER, did they tell you which college you got into?</p>
<p>im an urm (hispanic) and I never got a call although my family never answers the home phone… we just started answering it after we heard about ucsd calling people (since last thursday). Should i just assume rejection or could i have possibly missed the call? I thought that my stats were pretty decent for ucsd and if i can’t get in here then i have no hope for ucla or ucb :/</p>

Well actually, i missed it, but called them right back! So very very exciting!</p>
<p>Oh so strange…I just checked my calls and turns out that I called an 858 number on Monday. I never called the ucsd office and the call was only 16 seconds so I must have pocket dialed them from a missed call…but that 858 number is not listed in my missed calls. I just called the number and it’s the admissions office 
any insight?</p>

<p>Yes I did, So I live in Washington so iam not familiar with the area code so when they started calling me on Monday i was like who the heck is this and i kept ignoring it and thought nothing of it than one of my best friends tells me he got a call from ucsd and they said he was in. I was than super nervous thinking that i must have been denied then lets skip to Wednesday so its Wednesday afternoon and i got my admission letter from University of washington and that was my safety school so i was happy about that so that same day iam in the bathroom watching you tube videos and this number from 86 something area code calls me and at this point iam just tired of them calling so i answer and and than the lady asks from me and i say yes its me and she said congrats you have been admitted to ucsd class of 2016 and she started telling me about the Triton day and she kept talking and talking but i didn’t care i put her on speaker and did what any good teen would do put it on facebook lol.</p>
<p>got waitlisted. not sure if i should be happy or sad. what are my chances now that im waitlisted?</p>
